The IZIP Via Rapido is a moderately priced Lithium-Ion model that features a lightweight Li-Ion battery built into the rear rack. Similar to the EZIP Eco-Ride, it's designed specifically for commuters with optional pedal assistance, large 700c rims and narrow self-sealing tires. It's comfortable upright seating, front suspension fork and seat post make it a true hybrid, ideal on the street or any paved surfaces.
With over twice the life (and half the weight) of a cheaper sealed lead acid (SLA) battery, the Via Rapido's high quality 26V Li-Ion battery weighs just 8lbs and can easily be removed for storage or charging. At 52lbs total, it's fairly lightweight compared to other e-bike models and most riders will achieve the rated 15-22 mile per charge in pedal assist mode.
